Park Building Rental

Available Facilities

The following facilities will be rented out on a first-come, first-served basis:

  • Douglas Park Building- Small brick structure with restroom facilities and temperature control
  • Douglas Park Pavilion- Pavilion with seasonally available picnic tables
  • Greenwald Park Building- Small block structure with restroom facilities and temperature control
  • Greenwald Park Pavilion- Pavilion with seasonally available picnic tables
  • Kiwanis Park Restrooms- Restroom facilities available for use when rented
  • Kiwanis Park Pavilion- Pavilion with seasonally available picnic tables

All other City-owned facilities and properties are not available for reservation or renting.

Use of Facilities

This policy does not cover the use or reservation of baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, or other recreation facilities. It also does not cover the use of playground equipment. The reservation of a pavilion or renting of a building does not entitle the reserving or renting party to the exclusive use of the park. Renting or reserving only entitles the party the use of the facility rented or reserved. Reserving a pavilion does not entitle the use of a building or vice versa.

Facility Rules

  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited by both renters and guests
  • Smoking is not permitted in any facility
  • Facility must be fully cleaned and returned to pre-rental condition
  • Any property damage or non-cleaned facility must be promptly reported to the City of Bronson otherwise the City will presume

You are responsible for the facility condition

  • Facility must be left locked
  • Facility must be left cleaned.  
  • Key must be returned to the Bronson City Hall within 72 hours to receive deposit (where required)
  • Parking and noise ordinances must be observed
  • Deposits not collected after 15 days may be forfeited (where required)
  • If the facility is not clean or if any other violations of the agreement are found, your will forfeit your deposit.  If damages exceed the deposit amount, the City may take further action.     

Fees

A rental fee is required for the renting of the Greenwald Park Building, the Douglas Park Building, and the Kiwanis Park Restrooms. A deposit may also be required for these facilities. Payment in full is required when the key is received at City Hall. Deposit may be made in the form of a check which will not be cashed if key is returned and no damage is found.

The deposit may be waived at the discretion of City Staff because of rental history or in extenuating circumstances. Certain non-profit or community uses of the buildings shall be exempt from the fees and deposit requirements.

No fee or deposit is required for any pavilion. A pavilion may be used without reservation but those who have reserved the pavilion have exclusive use of the pavilion on the day they reserved it.

Rental rates and deposit amounts shall be set by the City Council, with lower rates for City residents.

Reserving and Renting Schedule

City Staff shall keep a schedule of those who have reserved or rented the facilities. Those wishing to reserve a building must complete the Facility Rental Agreement when receiving the key.
